How can I open an Analysis Services Tabular database in Visual Studio 2019 ?

Hi !

I'm trying to open an Analysis Services Tabular database in Visual Studio, just like I did a million times with multidimensionnal databases, but I can't seem to make my tabular databases appear in the drop down list.

File→Open→Analysis Services Database...

How do I do this ? Is it possible ?

    Hi @Ben ,

    Thanks for your posting.

    You are trying to connect to <servername> server running in tabular mode using the Tabular Model Designer. The option to open an Analysis Services Database is supported for servers running multidimensional mode only. So you cannot open Tabular Model in this way.
