On the Azure pricing page, it says I can use 5M characters a month with text-to-speech.

1) What does the M, stand for in 5M?

2) Where can I see how many characters I have used for this month and how many I have left before I am charged?

    Hello,

Please try as below screenshot since I just got confirmation - speech service is not onboarded to this list at this moment.

Please go to your service, go to metric, select the usage metric you want to track, this should work for all services:

There shows nothing in my screenshot since this is the account I created just now to test. Hope this helps!

    Regards,

    Hello @bigsmile

Thanks for reaching out to us. 5M characters means 5 million characters free per month

You're not charged for services included for free with your Azure free account, unless you exceed the limits of the services. To remain in the limits, you can use the Azure portal to track the free service usage. Please follow below steps:

    1. Sign in to the Azure portal.
    2. Search for Subscriptions.

    3. Select the subscription that was created when you signed up for your Azure free account.
    4. Scroll down to find the table showing free service usage.

The table has the following columns:

Meter: Identifies the unit of measure for the service being consumed.
Usage/Limit: Current month's usage and limit for the meter.
Status: Usage status of the service. Based on your usage, you can have one of the following statutes:
Not in use: You haven't used the meter or the usage for the meter hasn't reached the billing system.
Exceeded on <Date>: You've exceeded the limit for the meter on <Date>.
Unlikely to Exceed: You're unlikely to exceed the limit for the meter.
Exceeds on <Date>: You're likely to exceed the limit for the meter on <Date>.

Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.

Easily click the button - view all free services, you will see all the usage of your free service under your account. If you can not see the free service you want to check usage, please check f the service is under your current subscriptions.
