When users click on calendar view, even though they are on the same LAN as the server, calendars take several seconds before they begin to slowly populate appointments. Clients are in cached mode. Is there anything I can do to improve this?

calendars take several seconds before they begin to slowly populate appointments.
Is it a recenly occurred issue affecting all users in your organization?
How long does it take for the appointments to populate?
For the affected calendars, are they the primary calendars of the users or shared calendars opened in Outlook?
If only shared calendars are affected, please go to File > Accound Settings > Account settings> More Settings > Advanced, try changing the setting of "Download shared folders" and see if there would be any difference.
If all calendars have this issue, in order to eliminate the impact of any add-ins, you may test on one of the clients by opening Outlook in safe mode(Press Win+R, type "outlook /safe", press Enter.) and check the result.

First of all check if this is a client issue r at server side. You may install the Microsoft tool, CalCheck : details.aspx
