after the recent update to windows 11 everything were good. but i was prompted for small small updates afterwards too. after the small update has been done the keys on laptop mainly B,N, Arrow Left-right-down were not working. I tried restarting the laptop several time but failed to solve the problem. after few hours it started working again. my laptop is dell inspiron which is in very fine condition. not a scratch or a dent. its purely a bug issue. I am a software developer i need my laptop for work. please fix these issues. ASAP

    Hello,
I don't know if my solution will help everyone but I had the same keyboard problem after a bios update on my dell latitude 3520.

The keys mainly on the lower part of the keyboard were only working intermittently.
I first tried to do a CMOS reset by removing my battery and the motherboard battery, this solution worked for two days and then the problem returned.
So I said to myself that the problem was still of electrical origin and it turns out that the keyboard was backlit, so I disconnected the backlighting cable from the motherboard and I have no more worries for 2 weeks , even if the backlit doesn't work anymore that's better than nothing.

I hope this solution can help some people.

I have been facing same issue some keys (r,t,f,g,c,v) were not working . and sometimes it delayed response after pressing for long time. I tried different solutions but non of them worked.

    solution:

in my keyboard some malware was causing issue. you can check if this is the case. restart your pc in safe mode and check if keys are working . If this is the case then navigate to

virus and thread protection->scan options->Microsoft Defender Antivirus(offline scan)

click on that option and start scanning it will restart the pc and this in built tool will remove

any potential threat causing this issue.

hope this fix will help after trying other fixes at the end try this one.

What worked for me was restarting the HIDSERV in task manager under services. Seems as though, after recent win 11 update, it was shut down. After restarting hidserv, press the 'end' button if keys don't start to function normally immediately. This issue was driving me up a wall, until I tried this. Hope it helps you, too.
