Enabling authentication causes runtime error in UWP

I am following the quickstart tutorial at

After I have made the necessary changes, I noticed issues with my android app as well as the UWP app.

In the case of the android app, the application doesn't proceed after the sign-in process is complete.

In the case of the UWP app, the application throws a runtime error.
