We've been running into the following error.

Invalid GIT configuration. You need to gain access to the repository before you can publish any changes. Details: Collaboration branch is not found in the Git repository.

We have checked the we have permissions to read, write, create branches, etc within the Azure Dev Ops repo setting as suggested by this answer: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/448101/invalid-git-configuration.html However, the problem persists. This feature was working fine until it suddenly blocked all of our team from accessing the repo through synapse without changing anything.

Hello @SeremBaek -0523 ,

As per our offline discussion you were able to resolve the issue , hence adding resolution below and closing the thread .

The synapse collab branch was automatically deleted by ADO when we merged our changes to master which caused the git configuration issue.

Thanks
Himanshu
