Happy New Year Azure Maps team!

I would love to point out that when I click feedback ink it only shows a map with points but no feedback box as shown in the below comment. Also please give support to put Bing Map data into Azure maps so I can suggest Bing Map errors. So I can track them.

I really love your map editor as it provides satellite imagery, also able to quickly edit and send feedback to TomTom. I would like to ask to get the same editing tools as TomTom Map share into here. https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013898200 sign in and see map editing.

Or you could partner with TomTom to put the Imagery of Bing into TomTom Map reporter as well :)

I would love to be able to edit the roads, speed limits, parks, hospitals, and other things as well, with the ability to denote if it is a duplicate, missing, non-existent, or forever closed option. Also, able to put a POI name and see all results on map, then like Windows Maps, press some results don't belong, able to click the ones that are duplicates or be able to merge them as well :)

Be able to see where the POI came from, TripAdvisor, TomTom, or just web crawling and able to see if this a business owner claims one.

Also, able to submit general feedback or requests on Azure maps! As well as integrating with Bing to be able to advanced edit and send feedback of Bing maps data POIs that are also from TomTom and other sources!

I wish that this will all be one day just be a editor with dashboard on Bing Maps + Future apps + Windows Maps :)

I also the tracking link for Azure Maps don't work, it just shows it on map but no feedback or tracking details. Also the Azure Maps only sends one email that you have sent feedback but no futher updates.

I love the way Windows maps work as it lets me multitask as well as quickly report wrong search results with duplicates or such. It's able to quickly edit the location of POI as I am able to do a few searches and show it on the map at the same time!

Though it needs to be able to show more source data of business info on the map, as well as able to report as duplicate or non-existent or missing or permanently closed. As well for Azure maps the ability to report temporary closure and provide feedback options. Places that are permanently closed have the option to open it again.

Anyways I wish there was a feedback option that allows me to suggest edits and able to get updates, not just an initial email and a dashboard to track each one with feedback.

Anyways I still prefer doing feedback via Bing Maps + Windows maps, it's already very good for feedback on the Maps app, I just request that if you are signed into Windows maps, that I will get the email status on progress when accepted and then fixed via email.

Also, on the Bing website in contributions, there is a section where I can see a dashboard of all feedback sent to the team and status. Thank you

I would like to point out that this area is the Vancouver Island region which has a lot of issues, is the Azure and Bing maps team have Canadian partners on this like the BC Parks and stuff to update those stuff?

I been seeing a lot of misplaced hospitals on the map and some are duplicates, it's getting very annoying.

It seems that the team has implemented a new way of sending feedback without email confirmation way though the suggest edit still missing the option for duplicate or non-exist.

Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, only one exists some duplicates show in Parksville

Newcastle Island Provincial Park is duplicated

Hi Shawn,

We, Bing & Maps, have a huge volume of feedback of so many different types that there really isn't a good way to smush it into a public dashboard but I do have some details for you that might help.

The Azure Maps feedback page is a direct pass through to Tomtom so they do the update and then it will appear in Azure Maps if the fix is validated
The Bing Maps feedback is blended with Bing Search, Bing Places and Bing Local feedback and splits between these teams for fixes. For example the details of a business might be fixed/validated by Places or Local teams but are not really Maps items other than the address needs to resolve to the right place.
Imagery is a whole other section as it comes from different imagery providers depending on where in the world you are looking. As you can imagine, this takes a very different path than updating an address or geocode!

Suffice it to say, we are always looking at ways to make our feedback experience better so keep the suggestions coming!

One thing I would add is that with the Azure Maps feedback tool you can get a link to check the status of the feedback you provided.

There is a tracking link, though when I go to it, it only shows the map, it doesn't show the blue box with the status. Though if there is a place or map error on Bing maps that isn't related to TomTom. I wish to update them.

I'm not sure about that tool, I'm not on that team and haven't used it in a while. @IoTGirl may be able to look into that to ensure there is no issues with it.

Bing Maps also uses TomTom data for roads and place names in most areas (other than China, Japan, and South Korea), so checking/reporting in the Azure Maps tool may be faster in those cases since it will go straight to the data provider.

Thank you very much for your quick response, I understand Bing Maps also use TomTom Poi's, I am happy to report the issues through TomTom Map share and the Azure Maps.

Though Bing Maps also uses web data from businesses or Yelp or TripAdvisor and other sources for POI data. So, not every single POI I see on Bing will be on that azure map thing.

Anyways, I hope that this feedback is sent that Windows Maps and Bing maps will have a better way of tracking feedback.

@IoTGirl If possible, can you check with the team if the tracking link bug is a known issue? Thank you

Hi Shawn,

"Though if there is a place or map error on Bing maps that isn't related to TomTom." you would use Bing.com/maps and click the feedback link. If you are looking for a better UI for Tomtom feedback, try their MapShare tool. It is more comprehensive and offers the direct tracking that we don't.

Thank you for your reply, though Azure Maps does have a tracking link it won't tell me the status as the documentation on your website is shown in the picture as a status. I have been sending feedback through TomTom map share for a while but prefer Azure as it has the satellite imagery!

Though I see that they are fixing the issues I have to send on Bing Maps, you guys are really doing great on the maps. Visually it's getting great in map searches for attractions with new layouts.

Can't wait for the future of Bing Maps though I hope in the future there is a tracking tool.
