Best manner to perform a data exploration from a SAP data source - Synapse Analytics

Hi,
I need to build a datamart in Synapse Analytics after importing data from a SAP (on-premise) data source.
I'd like to know the best manner (and the related tool to use) to run a data exploration before creating the datamart data structure.
Any suggests to me, please? Thanks

Your initial ask is very broad. Could you perhaps add some more details, like what type of things you are looking to find out?

It is to my understanding that datamart implies columnstore, and Synapse Dedicated Pools are columnstores. Given you selected Azure Synapse Analytics in the tagging of this question, I have tailored information with regards to Synapse compatibility.

You may also be interested in looking at Azure Purview. While Azure Purview is mostly about data governance, it also does data discovery. (Correct me if I am wrong about discovery being similar to exploration.)
