[Solved] After update to Windows 10 21H2 I cannot activate DHCP on WiFi Direct Virtual Adapter

Hello,
On my HP Pavillion 15-ba002ng I updated Windows 10 Professional 64 bit 21H1 to 21H2 with an installation USB stick created with the Media Creation Tool.

Now the WiFi Direct Virtual Adapter neither has internet connection nor an IP can be retrieved from my mobile devices.
I found out that DHCP is deactivated. When I activate it and restart the computer or just de- and re-activate the virtual adapter the setting has returned to an empty IP.

LAN and WLAN work correct. Sharing the LAN adapter is still activated.

I tried all kind of suggestions I found here or elsewhere:

deactivate Defender Antivirus and firewall

ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset

The driver for the WLAN adapter Realtek RTL8732BE is the latest on the HP website for my notebook and even a bit newer than the one on the Realtek website.

Uninstall the WLAN and virtual adapters in device manager.

Rebooted the notebook after each attempt.

What else can I do to activate DHCP on that adapter and get the virtual adapter working again?

It looks like there was a simple answer: After reverting to Windows 10 21H1 I saw that there DHCP was also deactivated for this adapter. I didn't find any hint about that in hours of searching the internet.

The fixed IP is 192.168.137.1, subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
This setting has gone lost during the update.

And the command "netsh wlan show driver" in both Windows versions says that the WLAN driver does not support hosted networks. According to all information I found this means that hosted network does not work with this WLAN adapter. But it works for years already. Maybe it is the standard Windows driver that makes it work.

I will stay with 21H1 for a while because also the graphics driver was not working stable with 21H2.
