Hey everyone,
I have a question about delegating rights to a distribution list.
We use a Microsoft 365 Exchange online to create distribution lists. I would like to give a user rights to manage these lists. Remove and add members.
I myself as the owner do not even have permission to make adjustments.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Is this checked in EAC under Permissions/User Roles for the default policy or any custom one?
If not, enable it and then ensure the policy is applied to users maibox ( Under Mailbox Features)

I think its still only avail in the classic EAC for Exchange Online:

Ok, this explains a lot.
It is indeed only available in the classic version.
I have checked the policy, and the "MyDistributionGroups" is checked.
ok, now verify that policy is applied to users. If so, they should be able to change group membership in Outlook assuming the groups are hosted in Exchange Online and not synced from on-prem.

and that doesnt work updating membership via Outlook or OWA for those groups that you own?
I'm afraid not, when I run I get this error.

I would double confirm with you that whether the following two options are checked:
Do you try to modify group members from OWA?
I also suggest you try to create a new distribution list on Exchange online, then check whether it could be modified successfully. In my lab, it could work without additional configuration.
