NOt able to assign global reader role to user in Azure users area

I have added the user however I am not able to see any option to provide role access to him. My subscription is pay as u go subscription
Please suggest what needs to be done. PFA

You need to click on +Add assignments button and select the Global reader role from the drop-down menu, as highlighted below:

Select the role:

Hit next and if you want to permanently assign this role to the user, configure below settings:

Hi Aman,

Thank you for the response.
I have added Global Reader access to user1, However user1 not able to see resource groups unlike admin , VMs etc . Please find attached screenshots.

Hi @sns · Directory Roles are different than the Subscription Roles. When you assign the Global Reader directory role, you get permission to read everything in the Azure Active Directory but not in the Subscription. To get Read permission to view everything under subscription, you need to assign the Reader role at the subscription level, as mentioned in the below steps:

Open subscriptions blade > Click on your subscription > Access Control (IAM) > +Add > Add Role assignment.

Select the Reader role from the list of roles > click Next

+Select Member > Search for your user account > click select > click Review+Assign
