Azure. Slow Using Oracle Forms 6i Forms

Forms of Oracle Forms 6i are located on a Windows Server 2012 VM. Through a VPN connection from a computer, you access a database and forms as a network drive that are located on the Windows Server 2012 server. When the forms are on the local machine there is no slowness. Should any adjustment be made in Azure in the VM windows server 2012?

I try VM B2 to upgrade D4 with SSD disk but it was not enough

    @PaulAzureH

    Firstly, apologies for the delay in responding here and any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

    With B series VM there could be high IOPS utilization of the OS disk which leads to resource utilization bottleneck or throttling that could be causing this slowness.
    Also, other reason to this slowness cause could be the difference in CPU power. In this case you should change the VM Size to change CPU underlying the VM.

    You can refer to this documentation to choose the right size (Compute Benchmark scores for Windows VMs).

    You can refer this document for check the difference between the on prem and Azure implementation.

    I cannot recommend a VM size, as this depends on your usage. Choose the optimal size of VM and try to test again if that helps.

    If you still are seeing the slowness issue, then support team will be able to check your packet captures and logs to help investigate this issue further. You might need to open a support case for this.

    Hope this helps.
