You said that your azure free subscription had expired a few months before. Azure holds such a subscription for 90 days; post that, they will delete the Subscription. To avoid the inconvenience or the loss of data /resources once the end date is reached, we always suggest our customers reach out to us within the first 30 or 60 days or at least before the 90th day to enable the Subscription. Unfortunately, once the Subscription goes to a deleted state, we cannot re-enable the Subscription or retrieve any data from the Subscription.

If your Subscription is disabled 90 days before then, please create a support ticket so that the Azure support engineer can help you.
