Hi,

I would like to convert a channel teams "public" to a "private" channel, after its creation.

It is possible ?

I try to search an answer, and the only feature I've found is the obligation to create the channel in the private option from the beginning.

If the channel is already created in "public" what is the way to move back to private ?

Screen shot below = impossible to clic on the "type" to change it from public to private :-(
Thanks a lot for your answer.

Many people from my Company (Sodexo) would be very happy to know the answer

@JimmyYang-MSFT What reason is there behind not being able to toggle from public to private and vice versa? Is this a feature being discussed in the background to turn on or develop?

Our organization could reallllly use this ability. We are pouring more and more into Teams everyday and everyday we're finding little things that eventually going to be big problems (finding limitations etc).

    Thanks

Agreed that we need to be able to convert public channels to private and vice versa. Slack does this and it's an often-needed feature. Huge hassle to delete a channel and start all over. The lack of this feature is literally costing me hours today.

I'm giving my contribution to this wish/problem.

More and more employees are using Teams and because of this it is necessary to hide some topics/channels.

Been wanting this teams/channel management feature for years, while I have not tested - AGAT makes a tool to manage teams and do just this. Why MS does not is beyond me. I am inquiring from AGAT on costs - as we have clients that want a simple archive channel feature to move it out into an Archive teams. Lots of teams sprawl issues from users.

    This is so frustating.

This should be top priority and it looks like that MS couldn´t care less.
