Guest user in Teams did not receive invite mail. How can I send them to him again?

Hi there,
I had created a guest user in Teams. Unfortunately he didn't get the email with the invitation to join the team. Since there is probably no way to send this invitation again, I deleted the guest user to invite him to the team again. However, if you enter the email address of the guest, you can see in the auto-completion that he is still in the system and he will no longer receive an invitation even if he is added again. Also the name can no longer be changed when adding. So I then searched all portals (Admincenter, Azure) and deleted the guest user everywhere I found it. After that I waited several days for all servers to have time to sync. However, the guest is still in the autocomplete when adding it again and the guest still does not get a new invitation. What else can I do and why isn't there a function that allows you to simply resend the invitation to a guest?
Greetings Franz

    Hi @Franz ,

Unfortunately he didn't get the email with the invitation to join the team.

Just wondering had the user also checked in the Junk Email folder or Other folder (only availabe to some versions of Outlook) to see if the invitation mail was there?

Besides, please go to the Azure AD portal > Users > Deleted users, permanently delete the guest user from there as well:

Then wait for a few minutes and try to add the guest user again in Teams. You may still see the cached autocomplete when start typying his email address, but please do not click on the autocomplete, instead, keep typying the full email address. During my test, the "Add xxx as a guest" button prompted and then I managed to add the guest into the team after clicking the "Add" button:

    Hello YukiSun,

when you add guests in the AAD portal, no invitations are sent. At least that's what you can read in the documentation I found.

But I solved the problem today. Although, as already described, the guest user was deleted everywhere (also under deleted users), I was still able to find the user using Windows Power Shell. A cleanup with Windows Power Shell then led to the result that the user could be created as a new guest.

Incidentally, I have also noticed that if you delete a user in the AAD portal, this function often has to be carried out twice before the user is actually moved to the "deleted users" area. I think Microsoft still has a lot of open construction sites here!

    Regards
    Franz
