Azure Advisor is suggesting that we protect our virtual network by Azure Firewall (Low alert) but in the process of doing this, it is asking us for Public IP address . This is risky, why would we want to have poke a hole to have a Public IP address.

Can someone give me more details on this and what are the consequences of not doing this.

    Hello @JKFrancis ,

Apologies for the delay in response.

Azure Advisor recommends solutions that can help you improve the cost effectiveness, performance, reliability and security of your Azure resources and help you follow best practices to optimize your Azure deployments.
These are general advisory suggestions from Azure but not a requirement and you can choose to implement them if you consider that your environment/setup align with the recommended configuration, otherwise you can simply ignore them.

You can simply postpone/dismiss a recommendation that doesn't suit your needs:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/advisor/advisor-get-started#postpone-or-dismiss-recommendations

Kindly let us know if the above helps or you need further assistance on this issue.
