I can understand that you had to work hard with that document. I've read it, but I can't say that it is crystal clear to me how I should proceed if I would run into this myself. So far I'm safe, as I've decided to wait a while before I give Win11 a try. (Partly because of this issue, partly because I hope that WMWare will come with a new version with an easy install of Win11.)

Exactly what do you mean "the same issue". The error "Wait on the Database Engine recovery handle failed" tells us that SQL Server did not start when Setup wanted to run install scripts. There are multiple reasons why this can happen.

Rather than piggybacking on an old thread, I suggest that you start a new thread, and attach summary.txt and the SQL Server errorlog to the post.

Solution for what? The message in the title for this thread is a generic message which informs us that SQL Server did not start when Setup wanted to run configuration tasks. This can happen for multiple reasons. If you have this problem, I suggest that you ask a new question. Be sure to include the SQL Server errorlog, as this is where can conclude why SQL Server did not start.
