I cannot see any emails in my inbox. Cannot add account to the Outlook app on windows or android either. But I can use Microsoft 365 products and Xbox game pass.
Basically the title. This email was given to me by my university and it had two options. They closed the one provided by them after I graduated but they said I could use it for personal use which was the same email address but was somehow technically different from the previous one. I have used this many times to access Skype, Word, etc and I also have an active Game Pass subscription which means that the account does exist.
However, I do not receive any emails to this account but I can send from it. I did not receive any emails from the box game pass service either. When I try to add it to the outlook app on windows it says' This username may be incorrect, Make sure that you typed it correctly. Otherwise, contact your admin'.
I need to get this email to receive emails as it is connected to some important online store and services.

What's your email account type? Could you please check the 'OWA' address for this account in outlook, Outlook > File
For example, in my outlook, it looks like:
You could access the address provided there to check if there is any mail in your inbox. Then we can determine if this is a client issue or an account issue.
