Option "desktop app" not present in Teams's settings

Hello Support,

Please i need your help on this issue,

In Microsoft Teams =] settings =] Files=] Files open preference: The option "desktop app" is not present.

Sign in/sign out, restart pc, check for updates, uninstall/reinstall Teams =] issue still present.

In AD Azure, we can see that we have Business Premium licenses.

Is that a know bug or is there another reason we can't find this option like we should?

    I've come to experience this issue with one of my clients also, though with testing I can confirm it is to do with the product installed and not the license the user is assigned, for example if a Business Premium licensed user signs into the Pro Plus version of the Office app the feature is available.

    Can Microsoft provide some guidance on this method? In particular, the O365 Pro Plus version of office can be activated with a Business Premium licensed account, is this OK to do?

    Hi @IBN ,

    we can see that we have Business Premium licenses.

    According to the official documentation below, Office 365 E3 or E5 license is required to be able to see the Desktop app option. So it's expected that the option is missing in your environment that uses Business Premium licenses.
