I am trying to access the data from API in JSON format.

But i am getting error while trying to preview the data in source side :

And how does the JSON response look like? All I see in your post is XML.

Thanks for using Microsoft Q&A platform and posting your query.
As I understand your question, you want to preview the XML data which comes from API . For this requirement , you are using REST connector.

However, XML format is supported for the following connectors: Amazon S3, Amazon S3 Compatible Storage, Azure Blob, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen1, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Files, File System, FTP, Google Cloud Storage, HDFS, HTTP, Oracle Cloud Storage and SFTP. It is supported as source but not sink.

Please refer to the Supporting Document for the above statement : XML format in Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics pipelines

I tried to reproduce your case and got same error when I used REST connector to preview XML data while it successfully worked in case of HTTP connector. Please refer to the below image:

Source as HTTPServer
and need to copy the file in Blob storage in CSV format is it possible .

Could you please try using JSON dataset in the sink and provide the filename with the .csv extension . Please let us know if it works.
