Effects of changing GitHub username on Azure Data Factory

Hi there!

I have a Data Factory instance that is connected to a Git repository. We would like to change the GitHub username, because it refers to a name of a former colleague. I have read the GitHub website about changing your username, but I can't seem to find any info on how changing a GitHub username could affect your Azure Data Factory environment. Is it just a matter of disconnecting the Git repository and change the settings to the GitHub account with the new username or will this have unintended side effects?

Does anyone know more about this particular scenario?

As we understand the ask here is that you would want to know what are challenges you will be facing if the ADF associated GitHub username is changed. Please correct me if I'm not accurate.

AFAIK, there shouldn't be any complications with it. You will have to disconnect the existing Git settings and reconfigure the repository settings with new Username. Just in case if it pops up to authorize Azure Data Factory as an application called AzureDataFactory, you may have to follow the steps as described in this section of the document: Connecting to GitHub for the first time in Azure Data Factory
