Why am I having difficulty installing SQL Server Express version?

Question

After going through some steps of installation, it finally brings this error message (see image). I have even tried installing the 'msodbcsql.msi' package from the Microsoft website, but still gives the same error seen in the image. Please help!

Do you have or have you ever had installed SQL Server on this computer? Try to uninstall this driver and install SQL Server again
