I am planning to disable Internet Explorer using the group policy at the following URL
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/edge-ie-disable-ie11

I am aware that the Windows server version needs to be KB4601318 or higher as mentioned in the Prerequisites.
My question is, do I also need to update the version of Windows 10, the client to which I will distribute the group policy, to 1909 or higher?

    Hi @rarararara

That is correct, both servers or clients, from or to the policy will be aplied need to meet the version patch requiered:

    Windows updates

    Windows 11
Windows 10, version 21H1 or later
Windows 10, version 2004; Windows Server version 2004; Windows 10, version 20H2; Windows Server version 20H2: KB4598291 or later
    Windows 10 version 1909: KB4598298 or later
Windows Server 2019; Windows 10 Enterprise 2019 LTSC: KB4598296 or later
Windows Server 2016; Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB: KB4601318 or later
Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB: KB4601331 or later
    Windows 8.1; Windows Server 2012 R2: KB4601384 or later
Windows Server 2012: KB4601348 or later

As a clarification, You can see that Windows 10 is included as the "LTSC" versions, in particular because these versions are only updated one in long periods, and Windows 10 standard should be allowed to receive frequent updates, and thus be already over the level requiered.

Hope this helps with your query,
