Hi.
I have a requirement to remove or hide FROM Field/option in new email while composing in outlook. user should not be able to select From address even 2 or more accounts are configured in outlook.

Same thing. It just suddenly started up this morning for all replies and forwards. I tried the solution suggested by Faery Fu, but it didn't work.

I had this issue but I created a new profile and added my main account and now I can see the From button within options which now means I can toggle on and off.

Add me to the list of the other users below. Faery Fu's default email answer only works for new emails. When replying to an email though the "from" field keeps showing up. Crazy how something so small can be as annoying as it is. Please update to be able to turn that off!

Faery Fu's solution does not work for me. Still have From field when replying to messages.

Edit 10/2023: it now surprisingly work (Outlook version 2309 (Build 16827.20130))

I am having this same issue across 3 different laptops. 2 Office versions running on Windows 11 and one on Windows 10.

From your description, do you mean you want to always send from a default account?

According to my test, it is feasible to hide From Field while composing a new email and send from default account, here are the steps:

Go to Option tab, click From in Show Fileds, then From field will be hidden.

Go to Account settings > Account Settings > choose one account and set it to the default

Go to File > Options > Mail > Check "Always use the default account when composing new messages"

I have followed the same steps but FROM drop down is still there in the new email. it picks the default account but management wants to remove the FROM option from the new email.

Hello, is there a way to deactivate this when replying? This can be disabled when starting a new email, but when replying.

This solution no longer is viable. In the past few weeks something changed in Outlook and this solution does not remove the "From" option. There must have been a software update or something that broke this. I have all of the above selections from Faery Fu-MSFT correct and have closed/restarted app and computer. please advise how to remove this.

Like many others here, this partially worked for us. When we followed these changes, it did stop it showing FROM when creating a new email. When replying to an existing email, the FROM field keeps returning.

Hello. I tried. It doesn't work. It always come back. I did it several times and even restarted Outlook. It doesn't work.

This just started happening to me last week as well. I can disable the FROM field from showing up by toggling it off but I don't want to have to do this every time I reply to an email. I only have one Outlook account. I just don't want to see that field when I am composing an email and it is an annoyance to have to turn it off every time. I cannot find in settings where to disable this permanently. And like others have said, it just started happening this month. Sounds like an Outlook bug.

same issue here. This only just started happening today or perhaps yesterday. Last week did not have this issue. Every reply message now has the FROM line which there is only one account on the machine.

I just started noticing it recently too. I can disable the FROM field from showing up on individual emails by toggling it off but cannot figure out how to disable it automatically on all emails.

There is clearly a bug. Even if you do the above as many have stated it doesn't matter. I have one email account and EVERY time I reply I have to go to options and click from to remove it. Then there will be a random day where the program will work as designed. Then you login the next day - and same nonsense.
