Securing Azure Backup

we are using Azure Backup to backup the Azure VM and azure SQL DB

How can we secure this Azure Backup ? is there any MFA option or any other option to secure it ?

Does it cost extra money to enable the Soft-Delete feature ?
Short answer - NO

Does it cost extra money to enable the Cross Region Recovery in case of recovery vault failure (which has GRS enabled) ?

A little costlier than LRS and ZRS. Pricing details can be found here - https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/pricing/details/backup/

Do we have any disaster recovery options across other regions or zones , for this Azure Backup ?

In our backup, Azure Virtual machine Backup is triggered by the Azure backup Policy based on the associated Azure Recovery Service Vault and the backup data is directly send over to Vault though the Microsoft managed network.

What can we do to secure this backup from ransomware attacks ?
