How to add the custom attributes at assets level in azure purview catalog

I would like to add the new attributes manually at asset level in data catalog. is it possible to add it using API? Could you confirm?

    Yes, Azure Purview is based on Apache ATLAS. And it supports and provides an Apache ATLAS REST API interface to insert and modify entries in the data catalog.
