I've had a personal hotmail address for donkeys years. I've just bought a Mac Book and the hotmail address is working o.k but now I've added a work outlook address and added subfolders for the mail which are present online, or on my iPad but not on the Mac. The hotmail shows all the historic subfolders. Anyone got any advice?

According to your description, I understand that you have two accounts, one is hotmail account and the other is a work outlook account. They are all configured in Outlook for Mac, but only the subfolders of hotmail are synchronized, and the subfolders of the work Outlook account are not synchronized, right?
If so, I noticed that you mentioned that the subfolders of the work outlook account can be displayed normally online and in iPad. Would you like to provide comparative screenshots for our better research?
If not, please clarify your question and provide more information about your case.
