mecm - deploy application that can't be silently installed

Question

Dear experts,

We have some software that has no silent install switch. Anyway we can just put the .exe file into MECM/SCCM console, then when it displays at Software Center, non-admin users can just click and install it by following the UI wizard?

I just tested WeChat.exe without silent install switch, it seems stuck at installing phrase. Any idea?

I've used Flexera AdminStudio many times to repackage or record an installation, but you can also use free tools like Orca for MSI (you need to know what you are doing though!). There are many programs with free trials that will let you record the installation on a clean Windows machine, then create an MSI that will run silently.

I noticed that you have posted another thread about this issue. You could try to use packages and programs to install wechat:

Also you could try to use PowerShell to install wechat silently:

Thanks very much for your feedback in another post. We're glad that the question is solved now. It's appreciated that you could click "Accept Answer" to the helpful reply, this will help other users to search for useful information more quickly. Here's a short summary for the problem.

Problem/Symptom:
MECM could install wechat from client PC without any error, but when uninstalling wechat, it still showed the error which seems to be something to do with detection method.

Solution/Workaround:
This issue has been fixed by adding the timeout at the end of uninstall command line. Use .bat file to contain the two lines instead of using command line directly.
