Hi,

I am trying to create a cluster in Azure Databricks for first time. But on creating the cluster it is not starting. It is showing following error.

Cluster terminated.Reason:Cloud provider launch failure

A cloud provider error was encountered while launching worker nodes. See the Databricks guide for more information.

Azure error code: SkuNotAvailable

Azure error message: The requested size for resource '/subscriptions/20906de7-7443-4037-9295-ef79094070a2/resourceGroups/databricks-rg-test_workspace-oi5reqboklzkc/providers/Microsoft.Compute/virtualMachines/d9ab36437f154db48871fe0a7eda9bec' is currently not available in location 'eastus2' zones '' for subscription '20906de7-7443-4037-9295-ef79094070a2'. Please try another size or deploy to a different location or zones. See https://aka.ms/azureskunotavailable for details.

I can understand that is related to something subscription settings. Can somebody please help me out here.

Thanks

    Hello @yogesh jaiswal ,

Welcome to the MS Q&A platform.

By default, for any subscription there will be specific limit on the VM cores available per region based on the OfferType. Certain Azure regions require customers to go through a request process in order to gain access. To request access to these regions, a customer or their Cloud Solution Provider may open a support request and work with our Support team to discuss or enable access.

Note: If a SKU isn't available for your subscription in a location or zone that meets your business needs, submit a SKU request to Azure Support (Which is complete at free cost).

Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.
