Hi!

I wonder if there is any way to calculate user's age considering leap years by using custom policies. I intend to implement a lightweight variation of the age-grouping custom policies.

Ideally, once it's handled, I could easily verify if the user is a minor or not:

Hi @Raphael ramos , are you talking about making this document more lightweight? You can implement age-gating straight forward like this and it takes leap years into consideration automatically. Why not use something that's already built in like this? Please let me know and I can help you further.

Hi James, sorry for the delay, and thanks for your response.

Yes, the document I meant is the one you linked above.

Making it lightweight means that the project I work on already has quite large policies, and implementing age grouping will enlarge and increase its complexity.

The ultimate goal is to impede not legal adults from login into the system - signup is fine.

The solution I am considering consists of having a REST-API technical profile that fetches from an endpoint a boolean value stating whether a user is a legal adult or not. With this value stored into a claim, I can use it on a ValidationTechnical at the sign-in.
