I have a friend who is trying to make an external call from his resources account.
Resource accounts are usually used for auto attendants and call queues in Teams, so just got a little confused why the user needs to make calls from "his resource account". Are you actually mean the resource account needs to be used for calling line ID purposes in call queues or used for an auto attendant or call queue to transfer calls to an external number? If this is the case, please make sure a Phone System Virtual User license and one of the following are assigned to the resource account:
- A Calling Plan license and a phone number assigned
- An Operator Connect phone number assigned
- An online voice routing policy (phone number assignment is optional when using Direct Routing)
