Multiple user accounts created in C:\Users directory , each time an Okta user is authenticated to a window server .

For example when I log in using Okta , my home directory will have after a while I'll have several home directories :

C:\Users\mkhalifa
C:\Users\mkhalifa01
C:\Users\mkhalifa01

What is the best way to stop this issue from occurring ?

Thanks for your help

Mohamed

only user who are authenticated and RDP from Okta to window machine. Regular user who RDP without using Okta are not affected at all

Sounds very much like an Okta problem. Might try asking here about the issue.

The difference between 1 and 2 are usually profile corruption or some reason the profile was orphaned. Two and three look identical unless this was a typo? Which profile is used when logging on local?

    Hi Patrick ,

My profile should be mkhalifa . However, I don't log in directly to Window. I start my session in Okta , then I RDP from Okta to a window machine. So each time I establish and RDP through Okta window created a new profile for me .

    Thanks
    Mohamed

Are other users affected? Is this a new problem or a new user account? Something to try, If you create a new account with administrative rights, logon with new account, then after saving off docs, etc. from corrupt/abandoned profiles use Control Panel|System|Users and Passwords and delete the old profile stores. Then when you next logon a new profile is created from an image in \default user then you can copy your saved data back to new profile.
