My left shift key has stopped working. I disabled sticky keys and it's still not working.
I've upgraded to windows 11 and i think that may be the problem although it was working for a while.

Help please.

Hi @Sharon Matten , the most simple solution is restarting your computer. Have you tried this? If this didn't work please review this document. It goes into great detail on possible solutions.

If this doesn't work, there may be a hardware issue with the key connection. Please let me know and I can help you further.

If this answer helped you please mark it as "Verified" so other users can reference it.

    Thank you,

    Hi SharonMatten-0635,

Have you ruled out the possibility of a faulty keyboard by trying a different keyboard? If it's definitely not hardware, run the Keyboard Troubleshooter

Click on Start > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot. On the right side, scroll down and click on Keyboard. Windows will automatically find and repair any problems.

You can try reinstalling the Keyboard and Drivers:

Press the Windows Key + X and click on Device Manager.

Scroll down and expand Keyboard. Right-click on any listed keyboards and select Uninstall device.

You could also try, booting Into Safe Mode to see if your keyboard works with Windows running in a minimal state. We're looking for a driver issue or a startup program causing conflicts. Disable everything in your startup and reboot adding a few at t time until you narrow down the program causing the conflict.
