Credentials Error in PowerQuery Activity

Hello,

I am testing Azure Data Factory and I would like to test the following setup:

  1. Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2 to store some CSV files;
  2. PowerQuery Activity to manipulate the CSV files.
The problem I encounter appears to be related with authentication issues inside PowerQuery "We could not evaluate this query due to invalid or missing credentials.".

These are the steps I follow:

1) create Storage account. Only extra option is the activation of the hierarchical namespace. Then I create the container and upload my CSV.
N.B. I made here no modifications to roles etc., because until now I just followed the basic guidelines trying to avoid over complicating things.

2) in Data Factory, create Linked Service and test connection.

3) create Data Set and preview.

4) create PowerQuery Activity based on Data Set. The errors appears in the query preview.

I attach all the screenshots here:

Thank you for the help!
Best regards
Matteo

    Hello @Matteo Facchini ,

Welcome to the MS Q&A platform.

Normally this could be transient network issue . Could you please retry and see if the error persists?

As per the repro, I'm able to open and read the files from Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 without any issue:

In case, if the error persists, remove and re-added the Power Query and see if that works.

Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.
