Teams and issues with sharing screens

This is the 3rd or 4th time this happened where multiple people in a Teams meeting cannot see someone sharing their screen. It was only some users. The person sharing then stopped sharing and started the share again and they could see it. What would cause this and how can we prevent this from happening?

To exclude the client issue, it firstly recommends you try to clear Teams client cache file and restart it by following these article's steps:

Hi @JimmyYang-MSFT -

We did a lot of troubleshooting which included uninstalling Teams and reinstalling. We used other laptops as well, etc. This issue occurred 2 months back and we thought it was the firewall which we permanently disabled for testing on this one machine. We thought that fixed it but now the issue popped back up again. We have a recurring meeting every Monday morning that uses the same machine as the "host" and another end user joins the call and shares his screen to it and everyone who joins. The next step would be to disable the firewall on the user sharing his screen? That seems like a bad idea to fix this issue, so how can I narrow it down? Management is at the point where they want to avoid Teams and strictly use Zoom if this issue continues. They are very frustrated.

How do I add Teams as an exception in the Windows Defender firewall? I see the area to add this exception but Teams is installed in the AppData folder and wildcards do not seem to work. See attached.

`Maybe you could create a firewall rule that blocks everything, but deactivate it:
New-NetFirewallRule -DisplayName "Teams.exe" -Program "%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Teams\current\Teams.exe" -Profile Domain,Private,Public -Description "Teams.exe" -Group "Teams" -Direction Inbound -Protocol TCP -Action Block -Enabled false -EdgeTraversalPolicy Block

@JimmyYang-MSFT I'm not following your firewall rule or the thinking behind it. Is there not a better solution?

Have you tried to use Teams web client to see if it can be reproduced?
