Hi @Boopathi Subramaniam I suggest your user go to Windows Settings > Time & Language > Language > Preferred Language, make sure the French (Belgium) is the first one like following image. If the step does not work, it's recommended to turn off the proofing option to detect language automatically. I suggest your user go to Windows Settings > Time & Language > Language > Preferred Language, make sure the French (Belgium) is the first one like following image.

Turning off the proofing option to detect language automatically does not solve the issue

I have removed Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise and installed like below

Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise - en-us 16.0.14326.20910
Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise - en-us.proof 16.0.14326.20910
Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise - fr-fr 16.0.14326.20910
Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise - fr-fr.proof 16.0.14326.20910

It does not solve the issue.

Any other advise for this, please let me know

The proofing language of Office is closely related to Windows preferred languages. Please make sure the French (Belgium) is installed and shown as one of Windows Preferred Languages.

I have removed all Languages in Windows. It is French (Belgium) and English (Untied States)

Remember the display language in Windows which may affect the settings for default proofing language in Office. I know this from experience, trying to set Swedish as the proofing default in Office while the Windows user interface was in English US. I had to switch the Windows display to Swedish for Word to respect the setting for default proofing language.

Seriously, how hard could that be to fix this bug?

There are people living in different countries, that need to use the local language for communication, but still prefer the Windows and all other UI to be in English, because visual recognition etc.

I want the UI to be in English and the proofing language for emails to be in German.

Every time I forget I starts messing with the text, then I have to select the text and Set the language every time
