Sys check says nothing is corrupted and all files are ok. Is this issue related with vredist c++ 2008 missing and if so I cant download vredist c++ 2008 as per:

Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly
'Microsoft,VC90.ALT, version="9.0.30729.6161", Please refer to
Help and Support for more information, HRESULT: 0x80070005,

Additional Info: I did remember uninstalling certain vredist c++ applications not knowing what trouble it would cause and I forgot which ones are the one that I deleted. It didn't even occur to me that I should reinstall those programs back, until, when i tried to install msi afterburner and the application wouldn't open naming the error as a side by side configuration is incorrect, then I watched some yt videos which pointed to me towards the registry editor and recommended that i alter some registry data in x86_policy.9.0 and i did ...... and it didn't work while in the pursuit of trying to see what is wrong with the application i stumbled upon that the reason might be because of a missing vredist c++ 2008 . And when i tried to install it back it wouldn't install as per the error mentioned above.

Please help me.

    Hi there,

0x8007371b error is likely the result of a missing or damaged Windows Update file.It seems you have uninstalled certain windows applications and the best way to sort this is to restore the PC to the date when you made these changes.

I've been having this same issue for the past week or so. I don't recall deleting anything, and I must have tried every "fix" on the internet by now, even the full "Reset Windows Update components manually" thing.

Resetting the system is not an option. This occurs on new installs as well. If I move the system to an OU with no GPOs, it works, but with any other GPOs, it fails. Is there a fix for this?
