I second everything that was said. This is a most annoying bug. You have to download the image to disk in order to be able to reused it somewhere else. Big waste of time.

2023-11-30T15:29:46.45+00:00 Teams - the unproductivity tool. When your boss asks you why you're taking so long and you tell her it took 20 minutes to figure out how to copy an image and then provide feedback into the ether.

2022-12-06T17:13:48.967+00:00 Hi,
I have the same issue, i think is the format of image in clipboard.
From Teams it's not a pixel files and can't be understant in "MsPaint" or other picture program editor.
However i confirm it works on office suite Online and On Premise (Last Updates).I was also in trouble to copy / paste pictures from MS Teams in Jira / Confluence Atlassian solutions and it work with a Drag and Drop copy.
If can help.

2023-09-14T09:04:44.4133333+00:00 Issue still persists - September 2023.
Able to copy image to Word. Not to other programs such as Paint. Have not explored all possible programs - those are just an example.
At this point you can just assume the issue is logged but not considered important enough to fix.

2023-06-19T09:50:30.11+00:00 This is a big pain.
See here how I workaround it: https://tdalon.blogspot.com/2023/06/workaround-copypaste-images.html
(one solution using Greenshot, the other using an autohotkey script)
