extend disk space

Hi All

i have a server hosted in azure. it has two drives. OS drive and Data drive. The data drive is 2TB, i want to add another 3TB i.e extend up to 5TB but i dont want to shutdown the server and extend it. is there any way to extend the data drive without shutting down the server.

    I understanding you are wanting to expand your data disk from 2TiB to 5TiB preferably without downtime.

    Unfortunately, this is not possible at this time, disks smaller than 4 TiB can't be expanded to 4 TiB or larger without downtime. You could expand to 4TiB without downtime, or you could add a second data disk to meet your needs. More information can be found on our documentation page.
