Why are special characters causing problems in my text input boxes?

Question

I have a text box that users use to enter text. Only three special characters are causing problems when later viewing the text in the app.

When an "&" is entered, it displays "&"
When a ":" is entered, it displays ":"
When either "{" or "}" are entered, the app displays "{"

The export of their entry is as expected. The issues is when viewing the submitted text entry within the App.

This is because of HTML character codes, and I don't think there should be any issue because of these, You can refer the below website to check the HTML code for these char,
