Getting the above error after moving a mailbox from one database to another. This error only appears when trying to release messages that appear in the mailbox configured for content filtering in Exchange 2016. Spend 5 hours on the phone with Dell and couldnt figure it out. When googling it, only found one article about it, but it really didnt explain how to fix the issue. We have a on prem exchange server (2016) running on Server 2012 R2. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Nevermind on this one.. Found the answer. I hope this helps someone down the road as it did me. I was ready to pull my hair out on this one:

Message forwarding stops if the Exchange Server computer account is in the "ExchangeLegacyInterop" group. This group has a denial right on "Accept Organization Headers", as soon as the computer account was removed from this group, the forwarding of messages by rule worked again.
Thank you all for your help.

    Best regards

I also selected enable inheritance on the server's AD account to be on the safe side.. The mail didnt start going through till after a restart of the server.
