[550 5.7.53 SMTP; Command not authorized in current state- Summary]
Issue Symptom:
Getting the error “ 550 5.7.53 SMTP; Command not authorized in current state “ after moving a mailbox from one database to another. This error only appears when trying to release messages that appear in the mailbox configured for content filtering in Exchange 2016.
Solution:
Message forwarding stops if the Exchange Server computer account is in the "ExchangeLegacyInterop" group. This group has a denial right on "Accept Organization Headers", as soon as the computer account was removed from this group, the forwarding of messages by rule worked again.
