Logic App When email arrives different connection

When creating the logic app and adding the When new email arrives action, it appears you can only create a connection for the logged in user. When you choose to use a different account, it just loops and logs in the current user anyway. I need to create a connection for a stand alone email account that we want to listen to. The email/user is not shared. Can this be done?

Thank you for asking this question on the Microsoft Q&A Platform.

So if I understand the problem correctly, then you just wanted to run the LA with single user account which is not shared.

If you have an @harsh.com .com or @Karima ben .com account, use the Outlook.com connector. To connect to Outlook with a different user account, such as a service account, see Connect using other accounts.

@Kamlesh Kumar After adding that account as a contributor, the Change connection --> Add new --> Use another account....accepts the account email, then processes and adds another connection in my user name without ever asking for the service account password.

@Kamlesh Kumar Here is the screen. The foreach grabs attachments and stores in a blob...this is working. M issue is that I cant seem to change the connection at the red arrow. I need to get mail from another mailbox on our Office365. No matter what I put in, its adds another connection of my logged in user. If I click Change Connection, you would see 6 of me.

Hi @Bowles, Mickey -- When you click on change connection then it'll ask you to Add new and then select the Use another account like below screenshot where you can pass the another email account information.

Instead of this, why are you not using the shared mailbox where you don't need to change the connection every time and single connection will work.

@Kamlesh Kumar Clicking add new and User another account is exactly what I am doing. It accepts the email address for the account, then says "taking you to your organizations sign in page", spins.... and poof, another connection in my name. Never prompts for the new accounts password.

As for a shared scenario. It is not a shared mailbox and I dont want my account to be used for a production ADF that hits a shared email account.

In this case I would suggest to try it with incognito tab and confirm please.

I tried to replicate the same issue at my end but it's working for me.

I created a connection with one email id and again i created a new connection with another email id and it's showing 2 different email account.

@Kamlesh Kumar Ok, tried an in cognito. Same issue, except login fails. Once I put in the other email, it says "taking you to your organizations sign in page", spins, then errors...never asking for password.
