Accessing an Azure VM file share from Azure Data factory SSISDB package

I am looking for a way to programmatically access a file share, hosted on a Windows server in our Azure subscription, from our Azure Data Factory for a data migration task. I have looked at some of the existing documentation but nothing quite matches our scenario.

What I am struggling with is how to test the access and ensure routing is on place.

    Hello @Dean Wheatley ,
Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.
As we understand the ask here is how to access the file share on a Windows server from ADF , please do let us know if its not accurate.
If I understand the ask correct you can install the self hosted run time on the Windows server and that will help to the access the drives/directory of the server .

You can read about the same here :

Please do let me if you have any queries.
    Thanks
    Himanshu
