This is a really frustrating that azure signup doesn't work with many Indian debit cards. I tried with hdfsc and sbi. Both having issues in creating account. Then I tried with ICICI Current account debit card this allowing me till enter OTP. then shows your bank doesn't approve the transactions.

    @Basim E - Thanks for reaching out.

    On top of what @Carlos Solís Salazar has mentioned,

    The error related to payment verification needs to be primarily checked with your bank.

    As you mentioned that you are using debit card, please make sure it has 'international transaction' enabled.

    We advise our customers to use a valid credit or debit card and not a prepaid/virtual/gift card.

    Hope this helps. and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

    Hi @Basim E

    Thank you for asking this question on the **Microsoft Q&A Platform. **

    Please read below:

    The Reserve Bank of India has new regulations, Tokenisation – Card Transactions: Permitting Card-on-File Tokenisation (CoFT) Services, for storing credit card information that may affect credit card users in India. To summarize, customers in India can't store credit card information in Azure for recurring charges. Instead, they must enter their credit card information each time they want to pay for Azure services. For more information, see Reserve Bank of India.

    Hope this helps,
    Carlos Solís Salazar
