Query based drop down list with query created by another user

In Azure Databricks I would create SQL query with parameter that is using query based drop down list created by another user that manage that other query.

Is it possible somehow or is it access rights limitation and in query based drop down list I can see only queries created/managed by me?

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

Unfortunately, there is no way to access rights limitation and in query based drop down list.

Note: You can only see queries on which you are the owner or have been granted access using the share setting.

There are four permission levels for a query: No Permissions, Can Run, Can Edit, and Can Manage. The table lists the abilities for each permission.

Thank you for your answer. I have seen that access rights matrix but still don't understand where is the limitation to use the SQL query made by other user? I have edit rights for the SQL query that I would use in my dropdown list.
I would also mention that I can see that query in my Queries list but I cannot see the query in query based drop down list. Could you hint me from which field of attached access rights table this limitation is coming from?
This limitation is causing some kind of project/work limitation as only one user has to develop full solution based on few query based drop down lists and in case that employee leaves the company who can later modify permissions to that saved SQL query? Only admins probably, right?

Hello @Pawel Krolak ,

See if this helps, ask the owner to share the query as "run as viewer" for both the queries (main query and dropdown list query).
