Hello,

Suddenly I am not able to take the RDP of the azure Machine. There is error that the virtual machine agent status is not ready

I checked that RDP connectivity is OK.

Tried to find from the internet to re-install the agent in that VM but not found any solution yet.

Note: I am not able to take RDP so need to re-install the Agent via Powershell or any other method

Even i can not reset the password from the Portal also. Not sure how to get in the machine.

Appreciate the help if anyone knows any solution to this.

As you are unable to rdp the machine and unable to re-install the agent, I suggest the following method

    1. Create a new VM in the same virtual network and with a local IP in the similar range of the VM
    2. Access the VM from the new VM through RDP using the local IP address
    3. Check the files under the following folders and see the exact issue for this error and troubleshoot accordingly
      C:\WindowsAzure\Logs\WaAppAgent.log
      C:\WindowsAzure\Logs\TransparentInstaller.log
    4. If that doesn't help, I suggest to re-install the package as explained the following article:
      windows-azure-guest-agent
    5. If the rdp connectivity is not working, you can try accessing the folders within the VM by accessing the files like \<computer-name or IP>\C$ and check the above logs indicated in the step 3

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

If the agent is not in a ready state, it is usually due to some corruption of the agent which can be resolved by simply manually reinstalling the agent.

Not being able to RDP into the VM may not be completely due to Guest agent in your case. That needs to be debugged from the support side. Guest agent logs are C:\WindowsAzure\logs which will help to understand the issue better.
