    Hi

Below is the link for you to go through.

The SQL Server 2008 is highly outdated and unsupported hence its a high risk. For safety, I would suggest you to upgrade your sql server to a higher and latest version before you perform the activity.

    Hi @Rohit Kulkarni ,

You can migrate SQL Server instance to new domain using 'Active Directory Migration Tool', you have also to change your job owners, proxy accounts, and service accounts to the new domain as well. If you continue to use accounts from the old domain make sure the trust works and do not forget to rename the integrated login names when the windows domain name has been changed

    Referring to:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/zh-cn/archive/blogs/mdegre/can-i-move-sql-server-to-another-domain

If it is a cluster then this is not supported, Domain migration for SQL Server 2008 failover cluster instance is not supported, you must reinstall the SQL Server failover instance

    Referring to :https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/cefc4470-081e-418d-8e24-eb8297456734/moving-sql-server-2008-single-instance-to-new-domain?forum=sqldatabaseengine

At the same time, you can consider upgrade your SQL Server, SQL Server 2008 is too old and the latest verison is 2019
