Hi Team,

I have created an azure alert rule which is in enable state for some time, if i have made changes to the alert rule related to the threshold value or change in an alert query, if alert is evaluated/fired after every 5 minutes,

  1. How much time will it take for new changes to take place.
  2. Basis of what values (older or newer), alert will be evaluated after making the change?

Thanks,
Salil

    Hi,
1 - It depends on the alert rule type but usually should not be more than 5 minutes until the changes in place. Usually, 1-2 minutes maximum.
2 - alert rule will be evaluated on the new value. If you had alert instance generated with the old values, you will get a new alert instance based on the new value of course if the threshold is reached.
