Other AAD users are unable to join AAD joined device
Device is joined to AAD with primary user. Added additional users in Windows 11 Pro under Settings > Accounts > Other Users > Work or School Users -> Add a Work or School account. Additional AAD user adds successfully and resolves to the correct name. Reboot laptop and attempt to log in with the AAD account but unsuccessful. Returns error such as "Invalid Username or Password."
We had 2 scenarios cause this.
- We had an account issue with our tenant with a 3rd party Microsoft partner. Our profile had been setup through a partner subscription instead of a separate tentant. When we moved to Microsoft direct, the issue resolved.
- We had a client decide to subscribe to M365 through GoDaddy instead of Microsoft and nothing would work. Once we transitioned them to Microsoft direct, the issue was resolved.
Takeaway, it most likely relates to you tenant account setup.
