September 2007 Sandcastle Release

Thank you all for the continued support to Sandcastle. I have had many questions about the next release of Sandcastle and the roadmap through forums (see https://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2071190&SiteID=1 and https://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2127456&SiteID=1&mode=1) and email

 

We will be releaing a new version of Sandcastle next week! This will be the version used for shipping Orcas RTM. This version of Sandcastle will include the following features:

  1. Tools that we are using to ship Orcas RTM and Framework documentation
  2. A CHM Builder tool for documenting CHM. Look for my blog about this tool.
  3. New exciting features to VS 2005 design. This design will have features from Hana document model
  4. New Powershell script to document your APIs. This will be shipped with the Example folder. Look for my blog on this shortly.
